So that in this way anybody on the network, wired or wireless, under my control or a friend’s device, all goes through the content filter. This also means if a neighbor’s kid has gotten into my wireless router they aren’t going to be surfing porn (easily).
I’ve done this before using IPCop and DansGuardian but want to give openSUSE a try this time so I can look at doing more than just Firewall and Content Filtering.
I’m not including my coming, eventually, web server (probably openSUSE) or my HP Wireless Laserjet.
An “How do you roll” doesn’t have to be networks. It could be how you set up a development environment with Xampp and Dropbox, or how you connect your data on your phone to your PC, or using FreeFileSync to back up your computers onto each other.
Somebody I know has a shell script that is scheduled with crontab to periodically put reminders in text files on his netbook’s desktop.
Just about anything that either isn’t the norm, or is slightly customized or otherwise different should be included!
