ThinkPad SL410

I had installed opensuse 11.2 on my laptop.
My problem is that when I start the laptop there are 3 OS of windows,

  OpenSuse
  Windows 1
  Windows 2
  Windows 3

and the first two windows enter to the same OS, and the windows 3 don’t work.

I want to remove win 2 and win 3.

Thanks.

Go into Yast -> Bootloader. There you can edit or delete the menu items.
Or go into boot/grub and, as root, # out the menu items you don’t want. They will still be there but will not appear on the menu, but if you mess up you can go back in and recover.

Thanks for instructions.

I have other problems of configuration.

Some keys does not work, the bluetooth conexion, wireless conexion, etc.

I am new in linux and opensuse.

You need to slow down, or you’ll screw things up.

Please open a terminal and post result of this:

/sbin/lspci -nnk

We’ll work on the boot menu later!

the result is:

It seem that all the devices works, but I do not know how to active wireless conexion, bluetooth. I have problems when I install programs like jdownloader, python.

Thaknk for help

Your wireless management is with the networkmanager, they differ slightly depending if you are using kde or gnome. Just right click and make a new wireless connection setting with your ESSID and network key etc…

In addition, you must install:

lenovo-sl-laptop

This is an experimental driver for the Lenovo ThinkPad SL
series, since those laptops are currently not supported by
the thinkpad_acpi driver.

Works: hotkeys, bluetooth, the Lenovo Care LED, the fan
Experimental: backlight brightness, WWAN

Add the 2 links below to Yast. Don’t forget to update lenovo-sl-laptop

Good Luck!

Thanks for your help.

But how I active that funtions?

I didn’t notice that someone has picked up my repo for their installs  I’m glad to have helped!!

In addition to installing the lenovo-sl-laptop module. You need to do 3- more steps to complete support for SL-series laptops:-

  1. Add the following line to /etc/sysconfig/kernel as:- MODULES_LOADED_ON_BOOT=“lenovo-sl-laptop”

  2. Add this line to /etc/modprobe.d/99-local.conf:- options lenovo-sl-laptop control_backlight=1

  3. Add the line acpi_backlight=vendor to your /boot/grub/menu.lst

Let me know if this helps. I have an SL400 laptop working like a charm through these steps. Information on all of this comes from (and highly recommended that you read these):- Lenovo Thinkpad SL500 - ArchWiki

May be help here too
ThinkWiki

Thinkwiki’s a great resource, but it needs some patience to get to the specifics of what one wants. Personally, I’ve found the Google+Thinkwiki+Arch Wiki+Gentoo Wiki to provide fairly good answers to all of my questions.

Your information was useful, but I am new in Linux, particulary in configuration and install.

Where could I find information about line comand, manage properly repositories, etc

Might it be better if you tell us what you want to accomplish ?
