thinkpad_acpi unsupported brightness interface

Hello,

I have a problem since yesterday. I updated the system and since then, I get the message “thinkpad_acpi unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm-acpi-develatlists.sourceforge.net” when I boot. I can then hit Ctrl+D and the system boots as read-only.

I tried booting with the options “acpi_osi=Linux acpi_blacklight=vendor” but this did not help.
Kernel: 3.16.7-24-desktop

Any ideas what I could do?

You could try the following acpi boot option rather than the others;


acpi_osi=\"!Windows 2012\"
