Themes for Opensuse 11.1 GNOME 64bit?

Hey everyone,

I am very new to linux and wish to add a theme to my desktop, but I’m not sure how the process works. I am under the impression you have to download/install programs like Beryl, Compiz, ect… and then add the themes? Is there a walk through anywhere on this subject and if not how do I go about installing?

you can find gnome themes here and some compiz/emerald themes
Eyecandy for your GNOME-Desktop - GNOME-Look.org

I have looked there and that is where I have found themes I like, but I dont know how to install them.

extract the file to user share themes but make sure there in there own directory

just realized since i don’t use gnome much but sometimes you have to exract the file if it has more gz files compressed into 1
also on installing them the easiest way is go into system>look and feel>Appearance then the bottom right theres an install button use it and goto the dir that contains your themes it will also do your icon themes also
