The state of nvidia drivers packaging

Thanks for the quick reply. I will try and report back.
I am now
using:

inxi -G
Graphics:
  Device-1: NVIDIA GA104GL [RTX A4000] driver: nvidia v: 550.100
  Display: wayland server: X.org v: 1.21.1.12 with: Xwayland v: 24.1.2
compositor: kwin_wayland driver: X: loaded: nvidia
unloaded: fbdev, modesetting, vesa gpu: nvidia resolution: 5120x1440
  API: EGL v: 1.5 drivers: nvidia,swrast,zink
    platforms: gbm,wayland,x11,surfaceless,device
  API: OpenGL v: 4.6.0 compat-v: 4.5 vendor: nvidia mesa v: 550.100
    renderer: NVIDIA RTX A4000/PCIe/SSE2
  API: Vulkan v: 1.3.290 drivers: N/A surfaces: xcb,xlib,wayland

@Delforo If it’s all working fine, would stay with what you have?

I have;

 inxi -G
Graphics:
  Device-1: NVIDIA GM107GL [Quadro K620] driver: vfio-pci v: N/A
  Device-2: NVIDIA TU117GLM [Quadro T400 Mobile] driver: nvidia v: 560.35.03
  Device-3: Intel DG2 [Arc A380] driver: i915 v: kernel
  Display: wayland server: X.org v: 1.21.1.12 with: Xwayland v: 24.1.2
    compositor: gnome-shell v: 46.4 driver: X: loaded: modesetting,nvidia
    unloaded: fbdev,vesa dri: iris gpu: i915 resolution: 1: 1920x1080~60Hz
    2: 1920x1080~60Hz 3: 1920x1080~60Hz
  API: EGL v: 1.5 drivers: iris,kms_swrast,nvidia,swrast
    platforms: gbm,wayland,x11,surfaceless,device
  API: OpenGL v: 4.6.0 compat-v: 4.5 vendor: intel mesa v: 24.1.3
renderer: Mesa Intel Arc A380 Graphics (DG2)
  API: Vulkan v: 1.3.290 drivers: N/A surfaces: xcb,xlib

I did updated to the 560.35.03 driver using the run file.
Everything went fine.
I now have:

inxi -G
Graphics:
  Device-1: NVIDIA GA104GL [RTX A4000] driver: nvidia v: 560.35.03
  Display: x11 server: X.Org v: 21.1.12 with: Xwayland v: 24.1.2 driver: X:
loaded: nvidia unloaded: fbdev, modesetting, vesa gpu: nvidia
    resolution: 5120x1440~120Hz
  API: EGL v: 1.5 drivers: kms_swrast,nvidia,swrast
    platforms: gbm,x11,surfaceless,device
  API: OpenGL v: 4.6.0 compat-v: 4.5 vendor: nvidia mesa v: 560.35.03
    renderer: NVIDIA RTX A4000/PCIe/SSE2
  API: Vulkan v: 1.3.290 drivers: N/A surfaces: xcb,xlib

but when I log into Wayland I get the sign-in screen again.
I can sign-in into an X11 section without a problem.

I will try to get this resolved, if I cannot I will go back to my previous setup.
If anybody has any pointer to troubleshoot this, it will be greatly appreciated.

@Delforo I would suggest a new thread…
