The spelling checker in Seamonkey doesn't

Hi
I have Seamonkey default installation in openSUSE 11.0 KDE3.5.9. When I post text on the internet via Seamonkey the spalling checker (obviously) doesn’t work lol! Spelling is active Edit → Preferences → Languages → “Check my spelling in multiline boxes”. It just doesn’t check the spelling.

Any advice please
Thanks
Swerdna

I like Seamonkey. Its my 2nd choice(Firefox 1st). I am sure you have already done it, Just wondering whether you installed the “Seamonkey spell checker” or not. If you already did, then I don’t have much idea what’s wrong.

It didn’t occurr that the spell checker was on a separate rpm. Just shows how naive I am :?

Thanks it’s working now.

to get the full suite, you need to install Seamonkey browser, mail, chatzilla, spellchecker & venkman

I was wondering about this too. Solved now:)

I’d like to try the mail. Does it “ingest” all the settings and old emails and accounts from Thunderbird?

should do, never tried it myself, don’t use Thunderbird or Firefox, but, supposed to be able to.
