The browser at the XP client doesn´t find the opensuse thru the IP

The putty connection is ok, FTP also. Apache is on. Could be something at the firewall?
I am trying with the IP and a directory at lampp/htdocs. Thanks for any help.

Would you please be so kind and provide an error message at least ?

There is no error code.

  1. when I ping the opensuse server is ok.
  2. ftp data transfer to the server is ok.
  3. addressing the IP on the server is ok ( I get the localhost/xampp)
  4. addressing the IP on the client (a XP) doesn´t work. I just get a invalid URL address message.
