Thanks for Tumbleweed

I figured there might be a thread already for this topic, but I didn’t see one. So here’s one.

Thanks to those of you who had the idea of a rolling release for OpenSUSE and to those who made it all happen. I’m a long-time Arch user (still am, in fact, on my primary machine), but I’ve always wanted to explore SUSE a bit. Every time I’ve tried a stepped-release distro, though, I’ve soon gotten bored with the slow trickle of new packages, especially kernels. The Linux kernel (actually, I believe Linux is the kernel, right?) is such a dynamic thing that it’s a shame not to be able to keep up with its evolution. So I’m really glad that OpenSUSE now has a rolling release option in Tumbleweed.

I’m also glad that OpenSUSE-Tumbleweed handles UEFI booting and GPT-formatted hard drives well. Not all distros do.
