Problem: nothing provides /usr/pkg/bin/perl needed by texlive-apprends-latex-2014.100.4.02svn19306-21.5.noarch
 Solution 1: keep obsolete texlive-apprends-latex-2014.100.4.02svn19306-21.3.noarch
Solution 2: break texlive-apprends-latex-2014.100.4.02svn19306-21.5.noarch by ignoring some of its dependencies

this is the case for at least 2 weeks now. I found this bug entry: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=962875
but i do not really understand whats the situation now. Are they still working on that? Is there already a fix?

For now, I would just keep the ‘obsolete’ version - it is such a minor ‘upgrade’ it is difficult to know what difference keeping the ‘obsolete’ version is going to make but I suspect it will be too little to matter. Frustrating when you are using Tumbleweed but not the end of the world.

What effect would it have to keep the obsolete package? Does the update stay in the list and am i still asked the same question when i try to upgrade until it is fixed Or does the newer package gets skipped somehow such that i would miss when the the fix is there?

Lock the package to keep it from wanting to update. Can do it in Yast. Right click and it is obvious
