I have access to a “TomTom Go Live 1000” navigator. Interestingly, plugging
this device usb cable to Windows computer doesn’t open a device folder as I
would expect from seeing older TomTom devices. It works in some other
manner (there is an executable applet, which triggers IE or FF, and needs
Flash to do things. Nasty. Quite closed).
I have, of course, connected it to my Linux system, and this is what the
log says:

The device is apparently recognized as some type of network thing :-?
Have they hijacked the identification of that thing?
