I’m using OpenSUSE 10.3 and have been for some time but my problem with my wireless connection seems to be getting worse.
It’s an IBM Thinkpad T42 using a Cisco Aironet 340 PCMCIA wireless card (driver: airo_cs). The problem is that I have to keep right clicking on the KNetworkManager icon and selecting the wireless network to connect to over and over again because it keeps getting to 28% and then just fails.
When the problem started, it would take a few attempts, but now it can sometimes take about half an hour of constantly attempting before it gets past 28% and successfully connects.
I’ve noticed the problem is worse with secure networks and I’ve also noticed that when my other laptop connects to my home network, it sometimes pushes this laptop off. Then again, other times they can both use the network happily.
There are no problems with wired connections.
Here’s the output from /sbin/lspci

The “Cell 03” network is mine.
Can anybody shed any light on this? I’m sure it would be much easier if it was consistently not connecting, but it just fails for ages then decides to connect are a load of attempts.
Cheers
