Installed openSUSE 13.1
There seems to be a tear at top-left corner. I’m not sure how to fix this.

That’s not a tear, it’s hot corner.
Open a couple of windows, move your mouse to the corner completely and you’ll see the windows spread out on the desktop.
EDIT: Correcting myself: wrong, I see the tearing now.
And how did you duplicate that tear? I run 13.1 with KDE in a Virtualbox, and with many Dolphin Windows open I can’t reproduce it.
He didn’t reproduced it. I guess he wouldn’t have observed the image carefully first.

I have looked at that images several times and I don’t see anything weird.
