The task bar when set to auto hide does not function correctly .
When set to auto hide the task bar will not respond to cursor movement [tried different cursor themes] , takes several moves over the task bar to get it to reappear , also when FF [Firefox] is open 98 % of the time can’t get it to appear at all [if I minimize FF it will] , when it does it appears to take focus from FF window .
SuSE 11.1 , KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.2.96 (KDE 4.3 RC2)) “release 142”
Thanks in advance .
Try disabling desktop effects and see if it is better.
Don’t have ‘Desktop Effects’ enabled .
I have a panel, which is I think what you mean, with autohide. And it works perfectly. It must be IMO related to something in your config.
Try creating a new user and see if the issue remains when you login there.
Yes , sorry for the terminology , it is the ‘Panel’ as KDE chose to call the 100 year old task bar .
I posted over a KDE’s site will see what is said over there .
Have not changed settings in desktop , other than DLing newer version of KDE , started at the first of KDE 4.2 .
Thanks for the help !
