Hey all,
I bought a usb wire a long time ago for my phone. I used a couple of times to upload/download the address book and pictures on a Windows machine.
I would like to know what I need to do the same thing for my Opensuse11.
Thanks
Heeter

Well, first thing would be to tell us what phone you’re talking about. How
do you expect help, if you don’t tell us what you need help with ?
Second, maybe describe how you did this in Windows: did you need a specific
program or did you just plug it in and get an extra drive letter (as with a
USB-stick)?
In the latter case, the same should work on any more or less recent Linux.
Just plug it in, and check out the /media/ directory or the My Computer icon
on your desktop.

Hi,
The phone is a Samsung A640. I think the proggy that I used on the Windows machine was called “Bitpim” or something like that. It was a free download off the net.
I cannot see it mounted in “My Computer”

Google’d a bit, seems it a Windows-only model.
But it has BlueTooth. Maybe you can use that?
