Is there an equivalent of this video tag editor that can tag AVI and MP4 on Linux?

Reading more about it: EasyTAG will work with mp4 files but I do not think that it will work with avi. For avi a “re-encode” (copy video/audio and edit the info) has to be done (see https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=43048 )

youre best bet that i know of is to use Bangarang or VLC (media info in the menu)
