Tactical Nuclear Penguin

BBC News - ‘World’s strongest’ beer with 32% strength launched

Heading North :stuck_out_tongue:

Ooooo I’d love to try one of those.

One more area where Penguin saves your money: instead of buying 10 bottles, just one gets you drunk enough!
Way to go Tux!

I wouldn’t call that a beer. It’s an overpriced whiskey. And it’s a shame to call it ‘Penguin’, as all software with a penguin brand label comes for free. rotfl!

Let’s stick with Talisker then …

dont make me remind you to “free as speech, not as beer”… LOL

Interesting. I enjoy a good quality micro brew, but a stronger beer doesnt mean a better tasting beer. To much alcohol could make the beer taste bad. I know from experience how hard it is to actually get a higher alcohol content to beer before the alch actually starts killing out the yeast its self. Thats why most never go above 18% or so.

100% right. It stops at about 18%, indeed since the alcohol starts desinfecting the product, thus ‘killing’ the yeast cells.

This is the way to do it: brew 100 litres of exactly 10.33333% alcohol. Take away 2/3 of the beer whilst leaving the alcohol in the jar.
