Systemsettings doesn't works with recent files

hi, on my leap 15.6 using KDE
if I go to >systemsettings>workspace beheaviour>recent files and I change:
Remember opened documents from all applications
to
Remember opened documents do not remember
it doesn’t mantain this settings, the button apply doesn’t light on and if I change something other the apply button light on but after pressed it if I go to general and come back to >systemsettings>workspace beheaviour>recent files it is set to Remember opened documents from all applications
how can I get
Remember opened documents do not remember?
the same happen with
Remember opened documents only for specific applications
and check
blacklist applications not on the list
with nothing on the list

I see similar behavior. I executed it from the command line to see what the output is … here is the output, with comments in-line

username@machine :~> systemsettings
... no output after startup

... this shows when I click on "Workspace Behavior":

Why report at openSUSE bugzilla when it is an upstream bug?

Upstream bug:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=478665
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=458103

And for the error messages:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466072

Maybe to give awareness and traceability to the distribution maintainers.

By the way, it’s you saying that all these four cases are all the same issue.

OP might find by logging out of Plasma, into anything else, then deleting the content of ~/.cache/, the problem may have disappeared on next Plasma login. It’s worked for me twice in recent days.

For me, that was the first thing I did to see if it would fix the issue.
Unfortunately, deleting ~/.cache did not fix the problem.
