"Systemabschnitt der Kontrollleiste" don't works

Hi Guys
When I started my openSUSE 11.1 today the “Systemabschnitt der Kontrollleiste” only showed blank symbols. I read some tipps and updated to KDE 4.2 but nothing changed. What can I do?

ich denke du meinst den kicker, oder?

wenn ja, so sollte ein rechtsklick auf eine freie fläche in der taskleiste ein menü hervorbringen aus dem du “miniprogram hinzufügen” wählst. darüber kannst du sowas wie “zeige desktop” etc. zur taskleiste “wieder” hinzufügen.

Nein, ich meine den Systemabschnitt der Kontrolleiste, da wo der Updater, die Lautstärke und KNetworkmanager angeziegt werden. Mittlerweile funktionierts fast wieder, nur der KnetworkManager zeigt nichts an. Früher hat er immer die Qualität des W-LAN Empfangs angezeigt wenn man verbunden war. Neustarten und beenden und so weiter hab ich alles schon probiert, hat aber nichts gebracht.

hast du mal in den mini-programmen gesucht? sorry, hab kein KDE drauf…

@all: hes looking for a KDE mini program for the task bar that shows the quality of the currently connected wireless lan. i havn’t got KDE.

No, thats not true at all. I want that KNetWorkManager correctly shows up and not a blank field. I can choose it like always but there are no symbols anymore, just a blank space. Yesterday that happened to everything but when i updated to KDE 4.2 everything was okay except the NetworkManager.
Restarting the app and the PC didn’t work.

I actually have exactly the same problem - only the icon for my battery’s status shows up…any suggestions?

Remove plasma* from /home/YOURUSERNAME/.kde4/share/config
This means all files beginning with ‘plasma’ in mentioned folder. Do this from the console at the login screen. After that login and you can rebuild your desktop appearance without being tackled by old settings.
