Hello !

I’m a suse - gnome user. I have a problem with the sound system tray icon : it is missing !

How can i solve this problem ? Thanks

Hi
Right click on the panel and select add applet, scroll down the list
for the one called volume control.

Using KDE and 11.1 how do I get the volume control back in the system tray? It doens’t have the add applet thingie.

I need help with this. First, I tried to update my computer with “Online Update Applet” (I believe it’s called “kupdateapplet” or something) but it started saying error and I couldn’t get rid of it so I right-clicked on that section of the bar at the bottom (system tray???) and deleted the “panel” which got rid of the clipboard thing, the update thing, and VOLUME CONTROL! Plus, when I would open Amarok before this happened the icon would show up there saying it was playing, but now it never does. I right-clicked on the bar right there, as you said, but it doesn’t say “Add Applet,” only “Add Widgets” (no volume control there) “Add Panel” “Lock Widgets” “Panel Options” and “Remove this Panel” (which I think I clicked during the update accident) Please help! :’(

Try adding the system tray widget. I think that is what you borked.
