System Restore like Windows Vista

I have installed some NEW stuff using YAST. My system no longer functions as it did before.

My question: Is there some way to revert to a/the previous “level” so my system works like it did BEFORE the YAST update?

I’M LOOKING FOR THE EXACT EQUIVALENT AS “WINDOWS VISTA: SYSTEM RESTORE” (FROM A “RESTORE” TIMEDATE STAMP). Some way of reverting to the previous stable WORKING installation.

If this option does not exist I think I’m screwed.

My biggest problem is the “eth0” connection seems to freeze when surfing the internet.

Tell me there is a solution other than a COMPLETE reinstall of SUSE 11.0

Cheers
Pam

the best way to have the exact equivalent is to use Vista…
best way to duplicate the actions is to use any of hundreds
(thousands?) of backup programs/schemes/scripts available…

could be…or, you could just use YaST to uninstall the stuff you
installed…have you tried that?

do you get an error message----never mind, why you try posted a help
with networking request in http://forums.opensuse.org/network-internet/
(rather than a looking for a Vista program look alike here)

probably…
usually if the user can explain exactly what he started with, and what
he did to mess up, it is usually possible to help undo the knot…

but the first rule is: backup
been that way since sometime in the 1950s

Doesn’t exist.

Grab 11.2 DVD, upgrade and enjoy a newer and better working version.

personally I never liked system restore on Windows, it always buggered up.
