System Monitor widget not working as before

On my TW KDE system I use the System Monitor widget to view my system temps and fan speeds but something has changed and I had to reconfigure it from scratch. I also found not all of the options shown in the sensors command show up as configurable options on the widget. I did re-run sensors-detect but still no joy. The k10temp-pci does not show any more as a widget option. Anyone else seeing this? Any ideas please?

I don’t use it myself, but the System Monitor Widget was recently replaced, see this bug report:

“System Monitor widgets cannot be used to replicate appearance and functionality of the old System Load Viewer widget.”

Perhaps your problem is related to that, in which case I’d add your comment to the bug.

With the latest KDE System Monitor now defaults to a different program. It used to be set to ksysguard, but is now set to plasma-systemmonitor. Could this be the issue you are seeing? Ksysguard can still be run by name.

No this is the widget to display sensors I have an issue with.

I’m not sure they are saying the same thing as I see but I’ll keep a watch on that bug and look to see if there are any others.
