System keeps freezing

Just did a clean install of LEAP 42.2 and every now and then (it seems quite random) the system completely freezes…can’t even move the mouse cursor for example. Any reasons as to why this might be? I have just done a base install, added the packman repository, installed a few bits of software from there but nothing more.

Potentially a graphics issue? I haven’t installed the Nvidia drivers but the graphics appear to be absolutely fine, whereas on LEAP 42.1 initially I had weird font sizes and an insanely slow running system, so I was kinda forced to install them! I cannot remember which driver I had, so is there a way to find this out, and what’s the easiest way to install?

If I remember it was g04 drivers I had, so would I need the G400 drivers from here?

I just did the install using this method

and upon going to restart the restarter app didn’t work, so had to press the power button for 5secs, upon booting up I didn’t notice much (if any) difference. Is there a way to check that the system is using the Nvidia drivers. I’ll see if it crashes again!

For anyone remotely interested…so far so good, and the system hasn’t crashed and seems to be working well :slight_smile: I’ll keep my eye on it though!

BTW lspci -v will show which driver is in use
