System freeze (boot, install, use)

Hello.
I have openSUSE 11.3 and it won’t work properly. When system is booting, I have to click some key to procceed booting. If KDE was loading I can click key or move mouse. This is little **** me off but I can’t work on it. Launching program (ex. firefox) and system freeze. Loading cursor is also freeze. If I click key on keyboard or move mouse it back to life.
I have GA-MA790GP-DS4H motherboard. I try Fedora and I have the same problem, bu only during boot. I think this is kernel bug, because I didn’t have this problem on openSUSE 11.2.

Some solutions?

sounds most probably like one of two things to me:

  1. faulty install media, do this: http://tinyurl.com/yajm2aq if you
disk doesn’t check 100% perfect, see here:

  1. if your install media is good, then i guess it is a graphics
    problem, see: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Configuring_graphics_cards

of course, it could be most any piece of hardware that doesn’t like
the new kernel a lot! there are MANY posts in the forum similar to
yours and you might find help in any of them which use the same or
similar hardware you do, have a look:
