System doesn't turn off laptop

I installed opensuse 12.2 on my laptop Toshiba Tecra A10. Everything works very well but when I exit the system the laptop does not turn off but performs the sequence of reboot. Same thing with “shutdown -h now” from the command line.
Can someone help me understand does it happen?
Thanks

Sure a lot of similar threads in the last months…
Well mine is the last one, so I would suggest to try a kernel 3.5.4, as this solved my problem. You should enable multiple kernels before, but that is described in the thread.

And installing the latest kernel is easy using my bash script you can find here: S.A.K.C. - SUSE Automated Kernel Compiler - Version 2.78 - Blogs - openSUSE Forums

Thank You,

I solved the problem. Package ‘Laptop_mode_tools’ installed came into conflict with the new settings for the management of the battery of the 12.2 distribution. Removed the package everything works correctly.
Thanks for all your help.
