system crashed

Hi,

I have a OpenSuse 10.2 running postfix, spamassissan as mail relay. It crashed at least once/twice a month. Last time it crashed, I was unable to login from the console and I had to hard reboot the system. I would like to find out what was the cause but I have no idea where to look. Could someone help, please

Thank you very much,
Aldous

Start with /var/log/messages and possibly other log files in /var/log

Also spell out what you mean by a crash. It sounds like even after a
“crash” you can normally login, which is against what I usually consider a
crash (the system going down somehow).

Good luck.
