system crash using rhythmbox

Hi all,

I am not sure as to why but rhythmbox actually freezes the system.
I am unable to get into another desktop by pressing control-alt-F1, F2 etc…

I am not sure how to diagnose this problem… The window loads, and then the system just crashes.

According to the software Manager I am using version 0.12.8-1.43

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you get any additional output when you run rhythmbox in the terminal?

I am getting the following error output… libusb couldn’t open USB device /dev/bus/usb/001/0

Actually it appears to be running again despite the above errors…
Though I did try a couple of days ago and it crashed.

are there any settings which I should modify to give rhythmbox access to the usb?
