syslogd

I got this strange message from syslogd, never seen this before, and I probably should have gotten a screen shot, =/. But it said something that the Kernel sent, asking something about using a strange energy saver thing, would this have been logged somewhere? If there is a place where it’s logged at, I can type in from that, what it said, I have never seen that before, and even using Gentoo, an even more advanced Linux OS, I haven’t seen that before… Thanks.

[after the following, to return to your desktop, press Ctrl+Alt+F7]

if you have not rebooted since, you might find it in the terminal screen
at Ctrl+Alt+F10

if not there, you could look around the time of your popup (each line
begins with a date/time, in /etc/logs/messages

that log catches most all kernel messages…

if you find evidence, copy paste it back to here…

=(, no logs, in /etc… It wasn’t from kernel, it was from syslogd, said something about the kernel speaking to syslogd, about using a strange power saver function, now I kinda wished I screen shot it.
