Sysinfo doesn't show NVIDIA driver version number

Hi all,

I installed the NVIDIA driver rpm 190.42. However, when I start " sysinfo " under Display Info it shows the " Driver " Unknown. My OS is openSUSE 11.2.

The driver version number should always appear next to the " Driver " field.

Is this an ongoing bug or will the patch be provided as an update?

Any thoughts?

It is a known bug in the sysinfo module, and it happens for all Nvidia binary blobs. AFAIK, it doesn’t affect anything, and I imagine it’s getting fixed.

That’s good to hear. Earlier this evening, I thought it would have been resolved. The website advertised that 4.3.3 had resolved over 10,000 bug fixes.

So, I updated to 4.3.3 " release 2 ". I guess this bug was an KDE4/openSUSE only bug.

I have checked Bugzilla and I cannot find any reference to KDE4 sysinfo NOT showing the NVIDIA driver version number.

Although, I have heard that it is a bug, I cannot find its origin…

This should have been fixed by now in openSUSE 11.2.

This is what I am seeing after installing the NVIDIA 190.42 rpm x86_64.
