Switch from 12.1 factory to final when its released?

Hi,

I have installed 12.1 Factory and since its final release is just 5 days ahead,
I was hoping that there is a way to switch from Factory to the normal version when it’s released.

How can I do that, then? And are there some disadvantages if doing so?

I have downloaded and used the KDE Live-CD yesterday evening (10.11.2011) (German time)
and installed it today 11.11.2011 at noon and there were some updates while installing.
As far as I know there should have been a GM out now today - don’t know if install routine has switched to it.

Thanx in advance,
Sunnie

Yes, a zypper dup, for example. Or even a zypper up, or yast update if newer.

And that will prevent me of using a further factory version?

Check which repos are configured. Make sure that they are the 12.1 repos and not the factory repos.

ok, thank you
