This week I hit a problem I got earlier: updating the DirectFB package apparently deinstalls the Splashy package. This package contains the libsplashy.so.1 library that is needed in the suspend to disk functionality (see also my findings on: Darwin-IT: OpenSuse 10.3 Suspend to Disk breaks after Update).
Is this a flaw in the repositories or have I missed another update? It is a minor inconveniency but I like to have my system as up to date as possible. But I prefer the Suspend more. So now I have to be alert to not install the DirectFB update.
Is this somehow solvable?
Thanks in advance.
