Suspend to Disk almost works, to ram not

Hi there.
I’m used to use suspend-to-disk and suspend-to-ram in other systems, but it this one is thought.
Suspend-to-disk doesn’t work at all, (tryed the steps in here in s2ram, nothing works, so giving up) but suspend-to-disk almost works fine. The only issue is that when suspending it saves data but doesn’t shutdown the machine, like it freezed in a S1-state. So i force shutdown (holding shut-bottom), and resuming without any issue.
What can i do?

Machine is Opensuse 11.1 amd64 with
Asus A8n-sli Premium
AMD X2 3800+ (previous was a Venice 3000+ with same issue)
2*1gb DDR400 Gskill
HDD Seagate 7200.11 320gb
eVGA 7900gs now with NVIDIA 180.22

I used to use the kmenu suspend to ram and it worked fine (but only
after kde4 and 11.1) but after an update it did a suspend to disk
instead so I searched and found ‘sudo /usr/sbin/pm-suspend’ and though
I’m thinking it’s what called in the menu once again I can suspend to
ram and I have similar hw as you.
