Suspend and Hibernate Options

When I installed openSUSE 11 I did the KDE 4 desktop environment. Afterwards I decided to go to 3.5 and fool around with 4 when it isn’t really critical.

In KDE 4 I have the option from the main menu to Suspend to Ram and Suspend to Disk, (which both work!) but in KDE 3.5 I do not have those options.

The abilities to do this on this laptop is one thing that puts openSUSE above all other distros

You can suspend your pc from kpowersave applet in KDE 3.5. It has a little plug (or battery) icon, right click on it and in the menu you can find suspend to memory and suspend to disk.
