Susefirewall2 increased boot time by 39 seconds for half a year after installation

For the six months of use Opensuse 12.2 boot time increased by 51 seconds, which is almost twice. It seems that the delay is due to the long run Susefirewall2. Bug report is here https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=816390.

How to reduce the boot time of Susefirewall2?

Try to disable firewall and check how much time NetworkManager takes.

Hmmm. I turn off Susefirewall2 with Yast and my boot time didn’t decrease -125 second:

So the problem is unrelated to SuSEfirewall.

Yes. So, what do I do with NetworkManager?

Maybe. I don’t know. I use static wired connection.

If you use dhcp, that is, automatic connection, it is slower and it
depends on your router.

Thank you! This work. My boot time now:

Startup finished in 5855ms (kernel) + 38891ms (userspace) = 44747ms

Don’t forget to close the Bugzilla explaining why.
