susedtuduo for Tumbleweed?

I am trying to write a ISO to a USB drive with susestudio on 13.1 but it’s telling me it can’t and use something else to write it to CD.
I thought a later version of susestudio might write in and tried to find it on my machine running tumbeweed.
No package was found. Is it not provided for Tumbleweed?

There is no package named “susestudio”, you’re looking for imagewriter I suppose:
http://software.opensuse.org/package/imagewriter
(and yes, that is available/included in Tumbleweed…)

SUSE Studio is an online platform for creating your own Linux system/LiveCD.

AH!!! Suse Studio Imagewriter is what it’s called on my 13.1 machine…
Imagewriter with openSUSE branding…

I tried to write this ISO with unebootin and the machine I tried to boot with it said “missing operating system”.
Maybe I’d fare better with Imagewrite on Tumbleweed.
The ISO is a Live CD.
It looked like is might be a Ubuntu derivative is was a GNOME desktop.
The laptop I need to boot this on has a busted DVD drive so I need a USB stick.
I have to take it to a radio and program the radio. Can’t bring radio to computer :expressionless:
Car will not fit in house LOL.The only OS that recognizes my programing cable it Linux.
I don’t have a Linux laptop ( yet ) It’s complicated.

Well, I’m not sure whether Imagewriter (even the latest version) can handle it then.
Imagewriter just writes the image as-is to the stick, it’s practically nothing more than a graphical frontend to “dd”.

Unetbootin should be able to write Ubuntu CDs though I think.

Why don’t you just take an openSUSE LiveCD?
You should have no problem writing this with Imagewriter (or dd).

Not sure how to create a openSUSE live CD.
The software I need is the ham radio repo.
I’ll look into creating a 13.2 live CD I guess If I can’t get this to work with unebootin.

Oh, sorry. Didn’t realize that you need special software.

Well, the easiest way would be to use SUSE Studio then. You can start with a standard openSUSE CD/DVD, and easily add additional OBS repos and packages.

I’ll pound on this with Imagewriter again and see if I can get it to make a bootable stick
If I have to use the Suse Studio image creator I’ll have to bone up and get in the que
Thanks.
