SuSE11 Application Bar

Hi,
I appear to have removed the application bar showing me my running applications. I have my system tray, clock etc… These have all aligned left.
If I launch and minimize an app I have to alt+tab to bring up the running applications, I cannot simply select from the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
Can anyone provide assistance in getting this back?
Many thanks,
Gavin.

OK, got the ‘Task Manager’ back by adding as a Widget… I now have a floating widget on my desktop. I want the list of apps that are running back on my taskbar at the bottom. I can’t figure how to ‘lock’ this back to the task bar :frowning:

hmm, this might work,

press alt+f2
in the run dialogue type kicker & press enter ( assuming you are using kde  )

does that help ?

Andy

Interesting. It works  But I now have one task bar stacked ontop of the other :frowning:

The ‘new’ task bar looks different to the original KDE 4. I can see the applications, sure, but have 2 task bars!

Call me ungrateful…

could try this Regain KDE4 Taskbar - openSUSE Forums

Andy

That has worked a treat. The only thing is personalised desktop settings get zero’d, but a small price to pay…

Goes to show though, it’s all in the search terms for the forum, “regain” never crossed my mind.

Thank you for your help.

Cool, glad your sorted, now enjoy
