suse studio

is there away to make your own os with suse studio?

what would be a step by step way to do it?

something that shows that its your own customised os only built on a suse system

so no fancy pictures of opensuse but your own little customised icons in the gnome menu??? especially the one on the desktop

how would you do this???

and of course still using the YAST system as an update manager and software installer and control panel

i’m sort of new to suse studio and this is what i would like to do?

I’m not exactly sure how you would do this but I believe you would have
to remove all the openSUSE branding packages. Check this link out and
see if it helps.

thanks for the link.

ill give it a go

if there are any other suggestions feel free to post them

Why would you want that? Jeloudevla-11.2 ?

Since we’re talking open source, you could as well download all sources needed, create a devel environment, thousands of icons etc. and build it from scratch.
Or are you a M$ employee busy building Windows8 ?

the reason why i would like to do that is because there are many ubuntu editions that have there own branding’s but are still based on ubuntu

etc linux mint

and I was wondering if you could do the same with suse?

and (you wish i was from Microsoft)

but i’m not I don’t have a windows pc only ubuntu fedora (currently replacing suse) and mac os x leopard
