Is it possible that I can get rid of the SUSE Logo/branding? I don’t mind if it’s there but is there an easy way to get rid of it or at least possible? If I can’t do that can I distribute it for free to my friends without a cost without getting in trouble. I read the guidelines but I don’t want to invade any wrong doings.
Dude, you can distribute openSUSE all you like it’s open and free.
If you don’t modify the distribution, you’re free to redistribute it. If you modify it, it depends on what your modification are (you don’t need to remove the openSUSE branding if you do a slight modification only).
Replace all packets with “branding opensuse” by “branding upstream” and you will get rid of the LOGO.

You can distribute it as you like, it is free software (with the logo and
without the logo). But I think the opensuse makers are happier if you
distribute it with logo so that the ones who get it know what it is and
where it comes from.
