SuSE Linux as PDC

Hey,
I’m trying to get a copy of OpenSuSE 10.1 to work as a Windows Primary Domain Controller by using this guide hereI’ve literally copied the scrips verbatim however when I try to have a windows box join the domain no matter what user and password I try it fails. Is there a way to get my administrator password or anyone have any ideas on where I might be messing up. I’ve turned off the firewalls (this is on a hub not connected to the internet) on both machines with statically assigned IP addresses. I know that it sees “foobar.tld” because when I try slapcat i see the new computer name.

sailorcire;

You might want to look at this howto. It is written for SLES but applies to
Opensuse also.

Another good source is "Samba-3 By Example. You can find this online here:
http://samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/
or locally here:
/usr/share/doc/packages/samba/Samba3-ByExample.pdf

I am guessing that you need to add root, and perhaps other users, to your
ldap. If you have already done this, ignore this statement.

Thanks, got it up and running.
