I installed openSUSE linux 11.1 on my t41 laptop and opened the terminal. I maximized the terminal and changed the font to Monospace 9 and it looks pretty good but the terminal window wont maximize. Ill even tell you what happens when I try to. It maximizes but then becomes
un-maximized. It shrinks in size just a little to not fill the screen and the option for maximizing the terminal is allowed again.
Also,
Most linuxes Gimp program acts kind of buggie and Im scared to try the gimp program that came with linux 11.1 because when I use buggy programs I get a buggy system that ends up ruining my computer but I like to edit pictures and stuff. anyways just thought that was a big issue you guys should know about.
Heres one more,
Ok I just wanted to say that I dont know exactly what it is about bugs in these linux version but I think there are some dangerous ones and if yuo guys know of any please let me know. Like with the gimp system it seems like whoever donated it was copying a image creation program and the owner didnt like that it gimp was being used. Anyways there might be milacios programming in gimp that should be looked at but I am not one who knows alot about that kind of stuff. thanks again for your guyses hard work.

You’re not saying which terminal program, so I’m gambling konsole.
I see no such behaviour here when I do as you describe. I can maximize and
unmaximize without a problem.

There are bugs in the Gimp, but most likely not serious ones that you or I
are bothered with.

You imagination is running on a rampage. The Gimp, and most of OpenSUSE for
that matter, is Open SOurce, so any malicious would probably have been spotted.
Anyway, as long as you don’t say what bugs you think you’ve found, no one
can give you advice other than : don’t believe everything you hear.
