SUSE Leap 42.2 / DSL Connection from Server Using PPPoE / How ?

I am getting ready to configure a home server using SUSE Leap 42.2.

The plan is to have the server make the DSL connection to my ISP using PPPoE. There will not be a router, just a DSL modem in bridge mode.

So, what are my options?

Is the RP-PPPoE package the way to go?

I have seen some post that PPPoE support was dropped from SUSE Leap, is that correct?

I’d recommend first looking at your DSL modem documentation.
The ATT DSL modems in my area use a web interface to configure when necessary, and often authentication isn’t even required.
