suse installs but not boot on dl180 G5

Folks,

I’m installing opensuse 11.0 on a brand spanking new hp dl180
dual quad core. I’m doing a net install from usb since it has 12 drives and no cdrom. Not a problem installs fine. but when I reboot it’s just a blank cursor.

Seems it just will not see boot loader. Grub seems to be installed fine. /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 (/boot). But no boot.

Even left everything default for an install and still nothing.

Any ideas?

Solved!

Had to install boot loader into MBR and run grub-install again.
All is good.

Yeah, happened same to me as well. I would call it an installation flow bug, since all other choices are click next, but that one is on “hidden” tab and not selected by default.
