Handy list. Great job.

Personally, I strongly advise not mixing different versions. I saw 10.3 and 11.0 in that list. I saw the primary (oss and non-oss) as 11.1. If this is what you’re shooting for, don’t mix 11.0 and 10.3. You also have 11.2 in there, and lots of factory.

I would recommend this thread be moved to open-beta.

Yes, you can use it just like YaST. There is apt4rpm and with synaptic, it makes things quite nice. There is also smart and yum. All of these will work under openSUSE.

Is there any way to use zypper under Ubuntu? :wink:

Just curious as to what the benefits of apt are exactly, since the major benefit of it (speed/performance) is null with zypper on the scene surely?
