SuSe 9.4 on Core2 Duo E7400

Hi,
I need to install SuSe9 on a new computer with Core2 Duo, for compatibility reasons with Oracle 9i but I did’t succeed. I downloaded from here IA64 Installation Issues - openSUSE
boot.iso and I burn a Cd but is not bootable.
Where I am rong? Any solutions ?
Thank’s!

IA64 is for Itanium processors. You should not be downloading that for
use on a Core 2 Duo. Get the i386 or x86_64 version.

Good luck.

My problem is that Oracle 9i database is not suported on SuSe 10, nor 11

that is a problem alright…
since SuSE 9.3 hasn’t been supported by Novell or the openSUSE
community for over thirty months, see:

Have a lot of fun…
