I am looking for a free suse 9.2 iso distro.
Wonder where to download this old version.
Here you go…
I cannot install when burn the iso to usb the install keeps asking for the cd. Never had this before.
What do you mean with “never had this before”. Did you ever before try to install SUSE Linux 9.2 from an USB connected mass storage device?
I have done many iso to usb install.
Suse 9 2 was a long time ago i guess i used then a cd install.
Still not clear to me. Words like “many” are not very explicit.
The question was if you ever did a 9.2 installation from USB mass storage. Because when you say “Never had this before.”, that is not very precise. I can tell you I also never had that before, simply because I never tried in those days, nor ever after.
I more and more get the idea that you never had the problem because you never did it. Seems logical to me. I am not sure when installing “from USB device” started, but we are talking now about ~2006. I guess even before DVD images were provided.
I installed then suse 9.2 by cd never by usb.
Personally I would be amazed if 9.2 would install from an USB sticky.
Thanks, then i shall try suse 9.3
I think the first time I use a USB was with openSUSE 11.3. And, back then, the instructions were to run the “isohybrid” command on the iso before writing to a USB. I’m not sure where you can find “isohybrid” these days.
Hi
It’s still present in the syslinux package…
isohybrid never heard of it.
