Hi,
I would like to install SNMP on my Suse 8 server, but I don’t have the install cd’s anymore.
On the net I am only able to find ISO Files vor v.10 and higher.
Any idea where I can find ISO disks for my version? = 8.0
Thanks.

As a fellow '44, I hope you won’t be offended when I point out that 8.0 is vintage 2002. You’d surely be better off installing say 11.0 which has been proven over the past half-year. If you can’t spare the downtime, you’ve likely got problems with 8.0 being out of support anyway.
If you’re just apprehensive about an install, thing have improved a lot over the last 6 years.
I think the OP might have a server on a private LAN that’s running app(s) they cannot/don’t want to port to a recent release (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it), and all he wants is to add a package or two. He might have to hope for somebody who collects old releases though, I think 8.0 has long been purged from repos to make room. Good luck.
well well, that’s a rootserver with a few webservers, my-sql and such stuff …
it runs and runs…
It has a custom made control panel - I am quite sure that doing a upgrade to a newer release would break a lot of things there.
Fair enough, upgrade not an option. It’s a shame, we threw out shelves of old SUSE distros during an office move recently.
Maybe ask around on fleabay?
I just looked on my shelf, and I have DVD + 7 CD set of SuSE Linux 8.0 professional. They’re in a nice wallet, I have the 8.0 update manual to, may be the original box.
So do you want original media, or just the relevant rpm’s?
I tried installing 6.1 in a virtual box earlier this year, but that failed due to linuxrc installer not having a default to i386 (which would be logical if the code was working) and it not knowing about the Athlon K7 CPU family.
