Has anyone installed cups-bjnp-2 successfully under 13.2?
I recall reading somewhere that there may be issues but I cannot track down where I read this.

I’ve never owned Canon printer hardware, but I did find a couple of bug report that may be what you’re referring to

I note that you specifically refer to cups-bnjp-2, and is that because this version is absolutely required for this hardware, or maybe because of the bug that you alluded to?
Unfortunately, cups-bnjp-1.2.1 is the only version offered via
http://software.opensuse.org/package/cups-bjnp?search_term=cups-bjnp
Anyway, maybe you’ll be able to compile it successfully from source
