Hi,
Have not found similar topics. Please move/kill if I double post by accident.
I have a question regarding the nVidia setup with Optimus technology >:(
So the setup:
MSI GT 60 20D notebook: iCore 7, 32 gb RAM, nVidia 780m, Intel HD4600, SuSe 13.1 (fresh install)
# /sbin/lspci -vnn
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:0416] (rev 06) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation GK104M [GeForce GTX 780M] [10de:119f] (rev ff) (prog-if ff)
So it is Optimus and I have installed Bumblebee following http://smithfarm-thebrain.blogspot.dk/2013/10/opensuse-131-nvidia-optimus-bumblebee.html
The system works … BUT I cannot connect any external monitors to the notebook, the system does not see them.
I’ve looked up https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee/wiki/Multi-monitor-setup but it’s a bit over my level of knowledge/confidence …
Goal: I want to have a KDE running extended on the external monitors (or the internal one, when nothing is connected). I do not care about power consumption, so if the nVidia card would be working all the time - its fine.
I would very much appreciate step-by-step instructions. I’ll post the output of anything, just say what is needed (Sorry, I’m really newby in these issues).
Thanks
