Hello, i’ve been using openSUSE for a couple of days now, and i have run into some black screens, ill explain it the best that i can.
So randomly no matter what i’m doing the screen will go black, if i’m listening to music the audio dies, no keyboard input or mouse input is accept, basically the machine is hung and the only thing i can do is a hard reset.
if anyone one could help me that would be great.

This is normally video driver related. Tell us more about your computer and what kind of video system (GPU) does it use? There is a kernel load option called nomodeset you can type in in the Grub OS selection menu before you press the enter key to startup openSUSE. This will revert the video driver to a secondary driver and is required when trying to load the proprietary video drivers for nVIDIA or AMD. If you got everything working except for the blanking, it may be an Intel Graphic system, but more info is required from you on your hardware.
Now how it acts up is it freezes but not always black screens.
Thank you for replying, i hope we can get this problem solved, its quite frustrating when you cant use your machine for less then a couple hours at a time (sometimes less) before forcing a restart.
