Настройка дополнительного монитора на SUSE 11.4

SUSE 11.4, видеокарта Radeon X1050, KDE 4.6.00 Возникла проблема с подключением второго монитора.
Через параметры системы-экран настроить не получается. При попытке выставить расширенный рабочий стол, мониторы настраиваются в режим клона.
Нашел ссылку](http://www.itsm.in.ua/index.php/known-errors/39-hardware/151--suse-114) по этой теме, сделал все по подобию автора, получился расширенный рабочий стол, но второй монитор повернут на 90 градусов влево, параметр Option “Rotate” “left” в 50-monitor.conf. Пробую изменить значение Option “Rotate” “left” на “normal” - после входа в систему изображение получается (не знаю как и описать) сплошные артефакты, квадратики вобщем из обоев рабочего стола. Если изменить Option “Rotate” опять на left или right - изображение нормальное, но второй монитор завален или влево, или вправо.

Во-первых, покажите вывод xrandr. Во-вторых, судя по приведённым конфигам, вы не всё сделали в соответствиями вами же найденной статье, ибо виртуальный экран не создан. В-третьих, что не сработало стандартными КДЕ-шными средствами, почему вы решили править конфиги?

И да, опцию Rotate можно просто закомментировать :slight_smile:

Виртуальный экран создавал, с ним тоже самое, поэтому и убрал, думал, что не обязательный параметр (и если честно не понял для чего он нужен). Опцию Rotate комментировал - тоже самое, что и если поставить normal.

Когда выставляю параметры монитора КДЕ-шными средствами и давлю применить, происходит завершение сеанса и мониторы настраиваются в режим клона, я хочу расширенный рабочий стол.

По идее, с виртуальным экраном не менее 2880*900 должно работать как полагается. Какой у вас видеодрайвер?

Прописал виртуальный экран 2880*900, изменений не произошло.

А у меня вот на нетбуке второй монитор тоже не настраивается, если включен compiz. В этом случае, после подключения d-sub кабеля к нетбуку и включения второго монитора, на втором появляется изображение, но тут же экраны перестают реагировать на устройства ввода. То есть на клавиатуру и мышь экран реагировать перестает. Если же compiz отключен при подключении второго - все начинает работать нормально.

Все заработало после отключения эффектов рабочего стола. Работает и если настраивать стандартными средствами системы, и если править конфиги (как в начале темы).
