Suse 11.3 Live CD + Acronis

I would like to create a Suse 11.3 Live CD with Acronis on it so that I can boot from any computer, use Acronis, and still have some Linux commands available to me. Is this possible? I could part with OpenOffice.org to provide room for Acronis.

I currently have Acronis selectable in my grub menu, and it runs from my hard drive.

Thanks.

Well I am not an expert on either opensuse or acronics, but If I am correct, is Acronics used to backup drives and partitions? For your problem you can seek inspiration from “Hiren Boot CD” , A bootable disk built as linux (I think) and contains a collection of tool including Acronis in it.

good luck…

If acronis is in the OBS, you may be able to do this with SUSE Studio. See Portal:KIWI - openSUSE

I think you’re going about this wrong.

Like most imaging programs, Acronis can be installed within an OS for convenience creating backup images, and also has its own procedure for creating a bootable recovery disk.

In other words, look within your Acronis program, it’ll be easy and simple to do and won’t involve creating your own custom SuSE LiveCD.
